United’s Policy Council meets monthly to discuss and make decisions regarding Agency Plans, Policies and Procedures, and funding applications. Our Policy Council also assists with the annual Self-Assessment. The UCAP Board members, Policy Council Members, and management staff utilize the Self-Assessment to help them in their decisions regarding Program and Strategic Planning. Our Policy Council willingly accepts their active role in the decision-making process. Our Policy Council is made up of parents (chosen by the Parent Committee in their center), one professional representative from each county (nominated by the centers, chosen by the parent committee members of the county). As dedicated representatives of their communities and loyal advocates for children and families, our Policy Council serves a vital role in the operation of our program. We value their contribution! We thank them for their service!
